Woven Lines Are The Thing
Dalia James is a woven textile designer-maker with a studio practice in east London. Central to her ethos is the use of strong colours and rectilinear forms and patterns derived from a profound affinity to the teachings of the Bauhaus as well as other early 20th Century design and artistic movements. Fascinated by process and experimentation, Dalia often incorporates other disciplines into her design process, using printmaking, drawing and collage as a starting point when creating designs.
